Some would argue that dwelling in megalopolises influences negatively to humans’ well-being. I am in complete agreement with this sentiment.
On the one hand, it is natural to see people living in urban areas do not care about their wellness. There are much more factories compared to rural areas, and hazardous gasses coming from them have bad impact on citizen’s health, increasing the number of diseases and allergies among people. This influence can be further compounded by the need to drive and use different types of transportation in order to be on time in important places, and given that urban life does not offer inhabitants clean atmosphere, becoming healthy in such environment can be impossible. Even if these people find this living condition safe, they often face major issue with natural and good quality of vegetables, fruits and other food products, leaving them unable to survive let alone clean air for inhaling, which may cause in the increase in the number of people desiring to live in towns. In Latvia, for instance, major population, who disagree to reside, leave their due to the above issues, proving that residents cannot be healthy enough to live in such metropolises.
On the other hand, suburbanites and villagers always can have possibilities to breathe in clean air and consume fresh products for their health. This chance offer people good living qualities near to mountains, waterfalls and places like there are many trees which help people feel better especially for ill ones. At these times, living in big cities may make their heath worse, so living in outskirts or suburbs of towns, being in touch with nature and caring about their wellness from time to time as examples could provide better life conditions, and people can live longer as a result. These activities can show true way of living to people, making them think that they live in a healthier life, especially they follow balanced diet, because eating dishes prepared from fresh and natural products affect citizens’ brain and muscles well, improving people’s both mental and physical performance. Swiss people occasionally try to relax or go to trips to Alps for a week and a month after their busy schedule at work and have only home-made meals for each period of the day without chemicals.
In conclusion, while some may find the fast-paced life of megalopolises appealing, the negative effects on human well-being are undeniable. Poor air quality, limited access to fresh food, and constant stress make it difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle in such environments.
