The pie charts demonstrate some information about forests all over the world, especially in five different regions: South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.
Overall, there are some notable disparities between the percentage of world forests and timber. As can be seen, North America accounts for the highest proportion in both categories. However, Africa has a significant contrast, having a large percentage of world forests but getting the lowest percentage of timber.
Regarding world forests, Africa dominates with 27%, which possesses the highest proportion of forests in the world. Together, these two regions ( Africa and North America ) constitute over half of the world’s forests. Moreover, Asia, Europe, and South America have somewhat similar proportions, followed by 14%, 18%, and 16% in turn.
Another attraction is timber. With this category, North America contributes the largest percentage, about 30%. Especially, North America and Europe combine 50% of measurement properly. In contrast, Africa yield the lowest proportion of timber, just about 9%.
