The flowchart demonstrates the varous stages of ethanol fuel production from corn.
the process started with harvesting the corn from farm lands and then storing it to be converted into powder in the milling unit. The powder corn is mixed with water and also the mixture should to be cooked four hours in the forth stage.
After cooking, it needs to be fermented roughly 48 hours to be ready for the separation unit. In this step, the mixture is made up of two phases, liquid and solid. The solid residuals are separated to be consumed in different products production while the liquid phase goes to the purification stage. In this unit, purifying ethanol needs almost 5 hours to be conducted. Pure ethanol after the completion of this process is ready to be stored and transported to other industries for different purposes.
Overall, the process of ethanol production in industrial factories has been illustrated in the chart, containing 9 steps of collecting and storing corn, transforming corn into ethanol and finally transforming the produced fuel.
