The percentages of expenditure on food & drink, accommodation, clothing and entertainment in five European countries are shown in the table given.
European residents tend to put more money on food stuff and housing more than clothing and relaxing.
In terms of culinary and beverages, Turkey spends the most, with 36% of total income whereas those of Spain and the UK are around 30%, at 31% and 27%, respectively, compared to 25% by France and 22% by those in Germany.
Besides, housing in the UK is the most expensive, at 37% in comparison with other four nations and this data increases gradually from 18% in Spain, 20% in Turkey to 31% and 33% in France and Germany, in the given order. While the proportions of spending on clothing in all five countries are no more than 15%, those of entertainment varied from 10% to 19%. In addition, the expenditure on these sectors are highest in Germany, with 19% on amusement and 15% on wearing.
