Children should study foreign language in schools. In my believe learning of western language shouldn’t be taught in early education as this would erode children’s mother spoken language. I strongly disagree and in this essay i will explain two reasons giving examples.
Although foreign languages are being stressed to be part of curriculum taught in schools ,it would end varnishing our local languages. This is because toddlers and borrow much of the language initiated from the first classes during their schooling. However ,this would make it hard for them to have interest and understanding of their mother language. With this appreciating their language and culture value of it fades away .For example if a child learns more of Spanish and his or her peers as well speak the same it would be difficulty for them to even get to know their own language.
Comparatively ,foreign language leads to no understanding as there is lack of clear communication .Take for example ,being admitted in foreign hospital where everyone speaks in English yet you only know Germany ,this would cause some of confusion feeling of being mishandled due to misunderstanding and provokes a lot anger and insecurity towards the care offered .Delay and not attended to can happen ,hence to some extend complications .
In my opinion ,lets support our children especially during their early learning our mother language as compared to other languages so as to enhance to ensure our languages are not displaced .As we all know younger children have best learning skills as they are very keen and eager to adventure in knowing different words as well as pronouncing them. When we say same word in one language more so our in local language we enhance and preserve our unity.
