The table illustrates how much milk produced in Australia in the years 2001/2002 and 2010/2011.
Overall, it can be seen that milk production between August and May experienced an upward trend, while July and June remained relatively unchanged and decreased. Moreover, October had the largest amount of milk production in the entire period.
It is interesting to note that the amount of milk produced in the first 3 months, August to October, increased considerably before peaking at 1350m litres as opposed to 920m litres in the first year. Following this, the figure decreased every month thereafter. Regardless of this falling pattern when comparing the figure for 2001/2002, that for 2010/2011 still showed an 80-200 increase in most of the months. For example, November saw an increase from 840 to 1120m litres although it dropped from the figure in October. May also represents this trend yet more slightly, climbing from 590 to 640m litres. This month also marks the lowest volume of milk production in the increasing trend.
The milk production in July and June had different patterns, remaining unchanged and going downward, respectively. The amount of milk produced in July was 590 in both years. Moreover, the production in June decreased marginally, dropping from 610 to 590m litres.
