For Japan, the export value of kiwifruit from New Zealand increased steadily over the years, from NZD 271 million in 2010 to NZD 287 million in 2011 and reaching NZD 325,3 million in 2012. For China, although the export level into China was much lower than Japan, but there was also a marked growth, from NZD 79,4 million in 2010 to NZD 94 million in 2012.
For Mexico, although the exports value kiwi from New Zealand was quite low (only NZD 1,2 million in 2010), it increased significantly over the years, reaching NZD 3 million in 2012. For Russia, growth was similar to Mexico, with the export value from NZD 968 thousand in 2010 to NZD 2,4 million. For Saudi Arabia, it was the only country that saw a decline in export value, from NZD 29 million in 2010 down to only NZD 82 thousand in 2012.
