The two pie charts illustrates the percentage of energy produced by five different sources in a country starting from 1983 to 2003.
Overall, it can be seen that oil was the most significant sources of energy in both years, despite a slightly decrease.
In 1983, energy produced by oil accounted for the highest proportion, at 47% of the total energy production. The figures for nuclear power and coal were slightly lower, at 20% and 25% respectively. Meanwhile, only 11% of the total energy was generated by natural gas, and the lowest figures can be seen in the percentage of energy produced by hydropower, at 4%.
In 2003, the percentage of energy from oil dropped to 38% but remained the highest figure in the chart. The figures for nuclear power and coal was grow up. In contrast, the proportion for natural gas decreased by half to 11%. On the other hand, the energy produced from hydropower still steaddy in both 2 years 1983 and 2003.
