One of school of thought holds that children’s development is mainly affected by their family,while others think that external factors play a fundamental role beyond family.From my point of view I entirely agree with the statement
I think that elements from outside have huge impacts on a child’s life rather than family because nowadays many children spend most of their time outside such as at school and kindergarten.As a result, they can easily build relationships and keep in touch with outsiders like friends,Hence,those tend to learn behavior and attitude from each others,which gradually develop their personality in a long term.Meanwhile,when allocating a lot of time at school,children will have less chances to meet their parents and they will face with some difficulties if they want to control children characteristics.For instance, in Viet Nam most of children spend at least 8 hours at school which is outweigh the time at their home,so they mainly expose with their friends and learn how to behave with others from them,In short,outsiders such as friends has bigger contribution in child’s life over family do because of the time that one spend with friends
Furthermore,social media is another external factor responsible for children personality,This is due to the fact that numerous teenagers have opportunity to use smartphone when they are young so they can use social networking site and which has huge impacts with themselves.Therefore,they can imitate and follow something that is appealing to them in the Internet or mimic celebrities behavior.From that,children’s characteristics will be developed which based on what they have learnt from social media platforms.In contrast,parents teaching are not likely to have significant impact with them
In conclusion,I support the idea that sources from outside have mainly affect with a child’s life than family powers because of their significance is not as strong as that of elements from outside such as social relationships and impact from social networking sites
