In 1960, the country had enormous paper waste, almost 25%. Textile pollution was in second place with 17%. Food, green, metal, plastic, and other types of waste accounted for 12%, 9%, 8%, 8%, and 12%, respectively. Waste types such as wood and glass covered 4% and 5%, respectively.
In 2011, looking at the diagram, we can see that the main pollution types were food, plastic, paper, and textiles with 21%, 18%, 15%, and 11% respectively. After 51 years, glass and green waste remained the same at 5% and 9%, respectively. Metal pollution increased slightly to 9% and wood waste doubled to 8%.
