Dear sir or Madam,
I saw a post in the latest issue of your magazine “Lored”, that you wanted contribution for your next article called “The book that influenced me most”. So, I jumped at the opportunity and I am writing to you to discuss about my favorite book “Digital Fortress” by Dan Brown.
The main premise of this book is that the antagonist has created a virus which will bring down NASA’s firewall and leak sensitive information. This would be fatal for NASA because most of the tax payers’ money go to it and it has nothing to show for it. The two protagonist are on a wild goose chase to find and decipher clues which will help destroy the virus.
The book helped fuel my desire to pursue a career in software engineering. The book had information about cryptography, programming, computers, NASA and several different kinds of technology.
I believe this book would be interesting to teens especially those who want to pursue a career in STEM. The book give valuable insights on how some of the popular pieces of technology works and how they are intertwined in the daily life of the average person.
Best regards,
Ruttab
