As it can be seen from pie chart, the most eminent takeaway cuisine in Canada is Chinese restaurants, while Mexican, Japanese, and Greek foods are the least unfavorable ones between 55 years period. In addition, the number of Indian restaurants in Canada has been gradually increased during same period.
In detail, Chinese, one of the aforementioned restaurants, has accounted roughly one-third of takeaway shares. On the other hand, around 26% of favorite takeaways is composed of Indian takeaways, the second popular chains. Moreover, roughly one-tenth of Canadian people chooses either order food from Persian and Italian takeaways or they just never order foods. A small minority orders food from Thai and other chains (roughly 3% and 4%, respectively). Nevertheless, Mexican, Japanese, and Greek are the least attractive takeaways in Canada, each accounting for just 1%.
As regards the bar chart, in 1960, there were approximately 300 Indian restaurants in Canada, which grew steadily to 550 by 1970 and then surged to over 3000 by 1980, reaching 5000 by 1990, and 7000 by 1997. The number continued to rise to 8000 in 2000, and from 2009 to 2015, it stabilized around 9000.
