The given bar chart depicts the count of males and females pursuing advanced academics in Britain during three different periods of time, along with information about whether they were working full-time or part-time during their studies.
Over all, it is easy to observe that the number of women was less, especially when they worked full hours, as compared to the men in the earlier periods.
In the span of 1970-71, males reached almost a 1000 count while working a permanent job, which fell to around just above 800 in the years 1980-81. Whereas, the females where below the count of 800 from the earliest given period of time. More women seem to work as well as continue their further studies, and we see a steady rise in their proportions which reached almost 1200 in 1990-91. The percentile of men seem to rise only slightly
