The pie graphs delineate the proportion of learners participating in numerous courses in an educational institution between 1985 and this year.
Overall, it is discernible from the charts that there has been a disappearance of local history and music appreciation in favor of IT training lessons. Notably, the participation percentages in other courses this year are quite similar, while the new course (IT) is gaining the most popularity among students.
In 1985, in terms of attending rates, modern languages headed the chart with 24% of total students, followed by 22% in fitness and dance training. Meanwhile, the proportion of those getting involved in Art, Local History, and cookery was fairly similar at around 15% for both. The figure for musical appreciation was quite negligible at under 10% at the same time.
The enrollment percentages this year have a remarkable change. More specifically, IT participation has replaced that of local history and musical appreciation and occupied the highest proportion at 27%. The figures for Art and modern languages have seen a slight downward trend to 15% and 17%, respectively, while the reverse pattern has been true for Cookery with the figure rising by 5% this year. The data for fitness and dance has remained unchanged at 22%.
