The chart indicates data about the production of four types of dairy products, including milk, cheese, butter, and milk powder, in the top world producers, specifically the EU, India, the United States, Brazil, and New Zealand, in the year 2012. Overall, the dairy production of the EU persistently outperformed that of other countries, while Brazil’s production took up the least number among all producers in the surveyed time.
The EU produced almost 130.000 metric tons of milk, followed by India with 127.000 metric tons, and the USA was the lowest in this regard, only around 90.000 metric tons. Moreover, the EU continued leading the way in cheese production, with 7.000 metric tons, while the United States and Brazil produced approximately 5.000 and 7.000 metric tons, respectively.
In addition, in terms of butter production, 4.5000 metric tons were produced in India, representing the highest number among the two other countries, more than double the figure for the EU, with production in the USA totaling just over 800 metric tons. Finally, the production of milk powder in China was around 1.200 metric tons, slightly higher than the figure for New Zealand, and the EU was the lowest, with only 770 metric tons were produced.
