Overall, looking at the sectors that saw declining throughout the period were manufacturing and agriculture where Business and Financial increased steadily through the years. The most contributed sector to the UK economy was manufacturing while agriculture was almost diminished by the end.

According to the chart, agriculture and manufacturing had a downward trend. Especially, agriculture sector experienced the most remarkable declining. Despite starting at just under 50% and increased slightly in the next 50 years up to just over 52% and then the proportion of the industry slumped by over 40% in 1975.
