There are divergent opinions on whether healthcare should be prioritized in terms of taxes. Although it is undeniable about the importance and significance of investing tax money into the healthcare industry, I believe that there are other certain fields that should receive a greater budget from taxes.
On the one hand, advocates for prioritizing taxes into healthcare tend to favor a system which is more affordable in terms of health-related services. In that scenario, the overall costs that patients need to pay for their services would be minimized. This would result in the availability of healthcare for more people, specifically targeting the lower class of society. In fact, many people have to suffer from diseases as they could not afford the increasingly high prices of healthcare services. Investing more money could further alleviate this issue efficiently. Moreover, it is also more moral and ethical as the money is indirectly spent for saving more people.
On the other hand, I believe that other sectors need greater considerations in terms of spending taxes because of their importance. In terms of education, under the scenario in which the money is efficiently distributed, there would be more professionals of various fields. This would also support the healthcare sector as a thicker layer of professionals would be more capable of creating more scientific breakthroughs. In the long run, the healthcare industry would benefit from it as it could reduce its prices to people. Furthermore, spending the governmental funds in other industries could promote healthier lifestyles among people. For example, agriculture could create several techniques that promote healthier food that minimize the possibility of having diseases.
In conclusion, although healthcare is undeniably important, I maintain that the taxes budget should be headed towards other industries as this would indirectly benefit the healthcare sector and further improve it.
