The purpose of the graph is to show the sales of children’s books, the adult fiction and educational books’ between the years of 2002 and 2006 in a single country.
It is evident that the sales of children’s books saw a substantial increase from 2002 to 2006, whereas adult fiction books faced a notable decrease in their sales. Interestingly, despite the variations throughout this period, the sales of educational books also experienced growth.
In 2002, the sales of adult fiction books were in its peak with the revenue of approximately 45million dollars . Apart from the interval between the years 2003 and 2004, it only declined to the point where the turnover of adult fiction books was only 30 million dollars.
But, children’s books’ sales started with just over 30 million dollars of revenue, and it gradually increased over the years, hitting approximately 55 million dollars in 2006. Educational books’ sales reached its highest point in 2006 overtaking the sales of adult fiction.
