In 2011, Facebook was the most popular platform , used by 59% of users, This number dropped to 49% in 2012 and further decreased to 38% in 2013. Twitter saw a slight increase from 21% in 2011 to 23% in 2012 and reached 25% in 2013.
LinkedIn and Google+ also became more popular over the years. LinkedIn grew from 10% in 2011 to 12% in 2012 and 15% in 2013. Google+ increased from 5% to 10% and then to 14%. Pinterest had the smallest percent in 2011 (5%) but rose to 6% in 2012 and 8% in 2013
Overall, Facebook remained the leading platform over the three years, but its popularity decreased over time. Meanwhile, other platforms like twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ slowly gained more users.
