Overall, it is noticeable that most students spoke English only in 2000, with the proportion of those who spoke in other languages being lower compared to the others.
In 2000, people who were able to speak in Spanish or another language were considerably higher compared to the others in the beginning of the period, with proportions 30% and 20%. Figures for these Spanish speakers started to increase in the remaining years, becoming the most popular language at the university at the point 35%. Meanwhile, those who spoke no other languages decreased by 10% in 2010.
Turning to the rest of the details, the proportion of students who spoke languages other than English increased as well. In 2010, students who spoke French started with a smaller proportion of 15%. Both German and another language speakers showed an increase in proportion, reaching around 10% at the end of the period. Finally, the proportion of the other language speakers doubled by the end of the period, which was the same as the proportion of people who spoke in Spanish in 2000.
