The table presents data about three deserts all over the word, namely Shara, Taklimakan, Great Basin.

Overall, the biggest desert with the highest recorded temperature is the Sahara, and Taklimakan is, on the contrary, the smallest one.

In terms of size, the Sahara has got the largest area (9.000.000 sq km), making it much bigger than Taklimakan and Basin, which are approximately 270.000 sq km and 305.755 sq km. The highest temperature in summer was recorded in the Sahara ( 58 above zero degrees), and the Basin fell short by one degree (57 degrees above zero). In contrast, Taklamakan is the coldest desert, it showed the lowest temperature around 27 degrees below zero.

Regarding average precipitation, the Basin demonstrates the highest level; however with wide diapason from 5.1 to 51 cm. The Taklimakan and the Sahara have a more stable range of rainfall, 7.6-12.7 in the Taklimakan and 1.0-3.8 in the Sahara. It was observed that in the Sahara and Great Basin were the same average temperature during the summer but the measures in winter slightly differed: + 13 in the Sahara and -8 in the Great Basin. Taklimakan, compared to others, experienced the lowest average temperature: +25 in the warm season and -9 during the winter.
