The three pie charts provided illustrate the methods of disposing dangerous waste products in 3 different countries, namely the Republic of Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
An interesting fact that showed in the figures is that the 3 countries adopt different ways to deal with dangerous waste products. To begin with, the most common method used in Korea is recycling, which accounts for 69% of the total number of it. Other ways that are used in this country also include burying the waste products underground (22%) and incineration (9%).
The situation in Sweden is not the same as Korea, with burying the waste products underground accounts for 55% while 25% for recycling and 20% for incineration. On top of these 2 countries, the United Kingdom practises different methods when dealing with dangerous waste products other than the previous 2 countries. Surprisingly, burying underground accounts for 82%, which is the largest proportion among all the ways used. In addition to incineration (2%), chemical treatment and also dumping the waste into the sea are also some methods that are only used in the United Kingdom rather than other countries.
