The given pictures demonstrate how plan of a city changed from 1950 to the present.
Overall, the city witnessed a dramatical changes. The most noticeable differences taking place in the city were transport infrastructure, geography, and population.
In 1950, both of business and residential area were located to the north of the river and there was virtually no infrastructure in the inner city area. In addition, 20,000 people was the quantity of citizens of the city. In order to approach the city, there were four major roads from main directions including east, west, south and north. There was an air port in the east of the map, next to one of the main roads, and the government buildings and government buildings were located on the south side of the river, accessed by a bridge.
Regarding the present city planning, the current population has been ten times larger than the figure in the past. A large part of the river has been widened into a lake. Moreover, commercial and residential areas also have been expanded around the old government building on the south side of the lake, as well as more government buildings on the south side of this area. The original main roads now intersect at the former commercial center, and two additional routes have been added: one linking the old southern and eastern roads, and another running from the northern to the southern route. At the same time, the airport has been also expanded to the south and a dam has been constructed in the downstream area to block water from the lake.
