The given diagram represents comparison in temperature zones between tropical mountains and temperate mountains.

Overall, vegetation in tropical moutains are more diverse than that of temperate mountains. Tropical mountains are higher altitude than temperate mountains.

There is a snow line at about 2800 meters (10000 feets) on temperate mountains, which are shorter than that of tropical mountains at around 4400 meters. The permanent snow saw above this line in both types of mountains. Below snow line, alpine meadows are witnessed at around 2000 meters which limit for spruce and approximately 3900 meter which limit for pine and firs in temperate mountains and tropical mountains respectively.

Forest in temperate mountains occured in the height of 1500 meters to 2000 meters that limit for broad-leaf trees. With tropical mountains, forest locates in the height of 3000 meter to 3900 meters and this height also has the same limtation as temperate mountains. Below this, cool zone appears in temperate mountains providing cultivation of grains, potatos and flax, at 0 meters to 1500 meters and in tropical mountain where grain cultivation possible at around 1700 meters to 3000 meters. In tropical mountains, there are two more regions comparing with temperate mountains namely temperate zone that grows coffee and cocos plants and warm zone that suitable for many tropical crops.
