Children are the backbone of any country. So, it has always been a debatable topic that how they should be raised and what qualities should be instilled in them to make them better citizen. There are group of people who think that a sense of competition is must for the child, however others believe that the cooperation is most required by children. I would like to scrutinize both the aspects before forming an opinion.
To embark on, competition motivates children to achieve their goals by urging them to work hard in order to reach at certain position. With sense of competition children can attain a higher level in academic or in any field by working hard. Additionally, they tend to master the vital qualities as persistence, concentration, brain storming and so on. It is essential for a child to not only survive in this highly competitive world but also make them strong enough to achieve any thing they desire for in the education and career.
On the second hand, cooperation is a life skill because when we look at history the people who are leaders or history makes are the one who had send of cooperation. This skill help developing patience, tolerance, team work and so on as these are the most desired skills on the list of an employer who will not only offer the job based on academic competencies but also give much weightage to the interpersonal skills. This is also required in every fields of life.
To conclude, in my opinion competition and cooperation are necessity in today’s competitive world, hence it is important to encourage child in developing both at a required state.
