The maps demonstrate the transformation of a particular community center 10 years ago and at the current time. Overall, the center has undergone significant repositionings of its buildings. Following the redevelopment, the community center’s capacity has increased, with one or two new amenities.
A decade ago, the center offered all the necessary facilities. The entrance was through a reception area at the southern side, immediately next to which was a cloakroom. Opposite the reception, a coffee bar and toilets could be found under it. On the west, there was a car park, with a garden situated above it, whereas on the east side, the north-east was occupied by 4 offices while the southeast was for kitchen. Between them lay a storage room. However, at the heart of the community center, a hall with 100 seats was located. Interestingly, another storage building was available in the north.
Since then, the facilities of the community center have significantly transformed. The most notable change has been the construction of indoor sports which came at the expense of the garden. Although the reception, cloak room, car park and kitchen have been preserved in their original positions, the room for offices has been converted into a café area, removing one of the storages. The former site of the coffee bar has been replaced by an office. Moreover, the storage to the north has been minimized and the toilets have been erected adjacent to it. The hall in the middle remained static with no shifts.
