Band 5+: More and more people are using computers and electric devices to access information; therefore, there is no need for printed books, magazines, and newspapers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Many think that the printing of books and written materials should be stopped as the importance of electronic devices is increasing daily. I disagree with the statement because countries that are not technically developed could face difficulties and it can also affect the upcoming generation.

A good reason for not disrupting the traditional printed media. Which includes newspapers and articles, is that these forms of media are very cheap. Consequently, even poor individuals can have learning experiences, for example, residents of India living in rural areas can get updates daily on their surroundings without having an expensive mobile phone or any other electronic device. They can read newspapers from their nearby stores. Additionally, nations that are not good at technology or can not deliver information to their residents, so are relying on paper-based media.

Another point to consider is that electronic gadgets like computers and mobile phones emit blue light which can damage the retina over time. For instance, students studying on the electronic appliances can suffer from the low eyesight. As a result, it can, in the long run, could be a big issue. Finally, accessing the data from the written papers will be a great advantage. Hence, it feels natural and there will be no habit of using accessive electronics in the coming era.

In conclusion, traditional printed media is cheap and availability is more for every type of financial individual as well as beneficial for the upcoming young generation in terms of health.
