There is a striking difference between the male learners and female learners in Romania and Vietnam, at about 20%. The least percentage of males who are profient in a foreign language is noted in China, at about 18%, while the lowest percentage of female learners who are proficient in a foreign language is reported in Thailand. Finally, the only country where males surpassed the females was Thailand.
