The advancement of technology in today’s society has successfully shaped people towards their behaviors which impacted on women and men spending equally on beauty products and cosmetics compared to the past where some stereotypes still occur. One significant contributor which triggers this prolific movement is probably due to the upsurge of world temperature caused by climate change which engenders individuals to take care of their skin. In my opinion, this is such an advantageous transition as to why not only women but men also have the right to take care of their body with beauty products.
The increasing temperature in this contemporary era due to global warming which then renders any disease similar to skin cancer, has inclined people to be more aware to protect their skin. For Instance, in the present era, the usage of skincare essentials such as sunscreen has become popular in both sexes due to its benefit to prevent skin from the light of sun. Consequently, this trend has become famous especially in Indonesia, male start to use sunscreen whenever they go out to protect their skin because they are finally concerned with the harm of sunlight especially during the day. Hence, this then possesses equality between both sexes in terms of using skin care products.
Regarding the advantages of this transition, the trend of equal spending on beauty products by women and men marks a positive development in terms of empowering local seller products. As both genders invest in skincare items, there’s a boost in demand for natural and locally sourced ingredients, supporting small-scale producers and promoting sustainable practices. For instance, a myriad number of farmers in Indonesia has contributed to provide sunscreen ingredients such as blackberries. As a result, this then fosters economic growth among farmers as well as encourages the use of environmentally friendly products which contribute to a greener future.
To sum up, the trend of equal spending by both male and females marks a positive development in society. It signifies a move towards gender equality and a heightened awareness of personal care and health. Moreover, another positive impact which occurs is to contribute regarding economic growth for farmers by providing the ingredients for developing sunscreen.
