From 1995 to 2005, there was a quick increase in both countries, including the UK and the US to just over 1,400,000 tourists, while this number of Japanese visitors decreased significantly to 1,000,000, which was the lowest in the final year.
Looking at the line graph more closely, in 1995, the figure for staying at resorts was just over 1,500,000 people, which was higher than that of backparking ( about only 300,000). After five years, there was a significant increase in the number of tourists staying at resorts and backparking to 2,500,000 and about 1,500,000 visitors . In the final year, there was a considerable growth in backpacking to just over 1,100,000 people, while this amount of staying at resorts declined quickly to 1,100,000 people. Finally, both numbers of two kinds of travel were almost the same, at 1,100,000 tourists in 2005.
