The illustration gives information about how to make pu-erh raw tea and ripe tea.
At first glance, there are four main stages in the process, beginning with roasting the tea leaves and ending with storing in the case of the raw tea, compression for the ripe tea.
To begin with, the tea leaves are fried in a pan with a moderate temperature in order to deactivate specific enzymes. Before drying under the sun, the fried leaves are rolled together. In the subsequent step, the dried tea leaves are treated in two different ways.
For the ripe tea, the loose raw tea is fermented by mold and then compressed to the form of pu-erh ripe tea product. In terms of the raw tea, the dried leaves are first compressed into pu-erh raw tea. Next, it is aged by storage and then the final vintage pu-erh raw tea product is available for serving customers.
