Nowadays, children usually must get high grades at school to meet the expectation from their parents. It accidentally brings back the pressure for the children. In addition, not only the parents but also the students can cause the influence on teenagers that are the same age with them. It’s called peer pressure.
Most people think that peer pressure has adverse effect on individuals at school. But others consider that it also contains good results to develop students at their studying places
First of all, it is undeniable that teenagers have a very strong ego so they often tend to attempt to be a good piece which is indispensable to their friendship groups. From that, they’ll try to change themselves,hobbies,behaviours to suit to their relationships.Thus, they gradually lose their motivation, confidence to do things, even can fall short of their own potential.
On the other hand, if we look on the bright side, we’ll find out that peer pressure may give a chance for students to make a progress for themselves. To specify, it encourages them to do well at school, develop skill sets such as teamwork, working on project,… By that, they can build happiness, avoid depression.
In short, peer pressure encompasses both negative and positive side but to get negative one or positive one, it’s also based on the mental of each individual.
