Education plays a significant role in everyone’s lives. Personally, I can say that it enhances the best qualities in human beings. There are pros and cons. However, education isn’t popular among young people because, in the age of the Internet and technology, teenagers often don’t pay attention to their own lives; they just want immediate satisfaction. So, let’s examine this topic.
First things first, surprisingly, education prepares people for both essential aspects of life — real life and exams. It really helps us feel more confident in our abilities, gives us a basic understanding of the world, and broadens our horizons. Furthermore, it gives us a chance to improve our lives in two ways. On the one hand, when we get educated, we become more aware of the system of the universe. On the other hand, we can build relationships, because smart and intelligent individuals tend to value other intelligent people.
Another advantage is that it increases our responsibility, discipline, and even willpower. For example, strong-minded people dedicate themselves fully to studying, whereas lazy or careless ones just don’t care about education and do whatever they want. They think that education is boring and that there are many other ways to spend their time. But they are definitely mistaken, because they don’t even try.
So, I am sure that education has far more advantages than disadvantages. However, there is one drawback: it takes a lot of time. In this way, we can sometimes forget about reality and focus only on knowledge. This may cause problems with mental health and anxiety. Individuals who immerse themselves in studying every day may become anxious and overwhelmed about their future. Therefore, the key is to find a balance between being productive and taking time to rest.
