The two charts illustrate the expenditures made by an American children’s charity and the revenues gained in 2016.
Overall, it can be seen that the amount of revenue exceeded the expenditures. While the most common source of revenue was the donation of food, most of the expenditures came from the program services.
Donated food has made up 85.6 % of the whole revenue having the largest proportion in this category. Community contributions took the second place in the relative role on revenue generation reaching 10.4 %, and the program revenue achieved the third place making a 2.2 % of the gained revenues. Other income sources contributed more to the revenue(0.4 %) than the investment income and government grants that both reached 0.2% in the proportion of the whole revenue.
The most of the expenditures were the result of the program services that accounted for 95.8% of the whole spendings. Fundraising and Management and General had relatively low effect on the expenditures level taking the 2.6% and 1.6% proportion of the overall costs, respectively.
