Provided is a map illustrating the fire escape plan for a college’s student accommodation. Overall, there are 7 bedrooms in total all accessible through a main corridor in the centre of the floor with emergency stairs located at the two ends, each leading to a meeting point.
As can be seen on the left side of the floor, bedroom 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other, while bedroom 3 is on the opposite side of those. In case of a fire emergency, all students from these rooms are supposed to get to meeting point 1 through stairs located right in the lower-left corner of the map.
On the right side, to the North of the map, meeting point 2 is capable of holding more evacuees, who are from bedrooms 4,5,6 and 7. In addition, in an urgent situation, students who are entering this floor through a lift in the middle of the top-right corridor should then evacuate to meeting point 2 as well. It is also notable that all bedrooms have a clear path of escape, ensuring that students can exit the building quickly and safely in an emergency.
