Band 5+: In the past, lectures were the traditional method of teaching large numbers of students in a classroom. Nowadays new technology is increasingly being used to teach students. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this new approach in teaching?

Many years ago, lectures were the simple way to teaching large numbers of learners in a classroom. The development of technologies had been increasingly changed. Nowadays, using these innovations during the process of teaching is the traditional method. On the one hand, many people support this method. On the other hand, many people still support old school styled education.

Since 2000’s years, large amount of education institutions have been using technologies during teaching processes. Stacks of books changed to laptops, blackboards changed to interactive boards. Ultimately, after many generations, total changes in many industries and structures of industrial sectors had been changed the format of education. Many people did not even guess that it will get easier to live. Students do not take large amount of books and copybooks, because all important informations are in e-books or in other platforms on their laptops. This compactness has a positive effect on the travel time to the school or university, because many students prefer to not use the transport. Of course, these changes positively affect to the health and the mood of students.

However, many students are on too comfortable zone. Large numbers of students cannot do physical exercises, therefore, during all lessons, they get tired . It negatively affects on student’s mental and physical health. Also they do not get motivation from the lessons, that’s why their marks on their diaries will be not satisfactory. More and more students are becoming victims of laziness due to new technologies. AI program assistants create graphs, complete exercises and other types of difficult tasks. Learners are searching the answers, while traditionally, they should use their natural mind and thinking skills .

In conclusion, it will be respectful to say that new technologies positively affected on the education, but the large numbers of learners still overuse these positive aspects and it depends on their learning skills. New generation should be more responsible and honest in education.
