In general, it is clear that all three countries prioritized health in the mentioned period, whereas environmental protection was the least sector spent by government.
Looking at the table closely, one can see that Germany and Italy had similar in government expenditure, mostly concentrating on health and public services. Italy government spent on 8.6 percent, but the figure for Germany’ highest expenditure belonged to health, at 7.1%. The percentage of government spending on economic affairs and education was above 4% in both countries. However, the lowest index was environmental protection, at nearly 1%.
Unlikely to Germany and Italy, UK government using their national budget to focus on health and education, at 7.8% and 6.4% respectively. The figure for public services in UK was not spent as much as the others. However, the proportion of UK’ government spending on environmental was more than the other countries, staying at 1 percent.
