Education reflects human well-being, the higher the educational qualifications, the more benefits you well get. Universities are a form of higher education the individual reached after almost 12 years of studying. There is a debate wether only focusing on the person’s major or involving other subjects as an extra. I believe that concentrating in one qualification is crucial for success for the following reasons.
On one hand, the diversity of college subjects can be satisfying for some students. exploring different ideas and learning new concepts. As a result, students become open-minded and have a wide variety of knowledge. However, this has disadvantages as well, by spend more time on book studying, the seminars the students expect to do, and the amount of stress that follows. For example, a friend of mine used to study multiple specialities at the same time, and ended up having burnouts that were devastating for him.
On the other hand, studying one major has low rates of failure. being dedicated to acquiring one qualification is much easier. Efforts all gone to one place. besides, being able to finish on time, for assignments, and duties. In addition to conserving individual wellbeing due to lower stress, the time length for getting the certificate would be much shorter than if you were studying multiple subjects. For example, during finals, parsons will have one subject to focus on, much time for elaborate topic of difficulties and higher chances of success.
In conclusion, the variety of subjects provided by the university makes curious students to enroll, which can be time-consuming, with higher chances of burnouts, in contrast, focusing on one major enhances individual wellbeing by lessen the stress and time for acquiring certain degree.
