Overall, it can be seen that doctoral degrees in Science and Arts increased notably, whereas there was a substantial reduction among Bachelors in scientific and artistic disciplines. The percentage of First degree in Arts and Science stayed unchanged throughout the period.
In 1980, the highest number of qualified graduates was represented by Masters of Science, accounting for 29%. This was followed by First degree of Arts at a quarter, and First degree Science at just under a fifth of total graduates. Master of Arts and PhD Science constituted 13% and 12%, respectively, while PhD Arts had the smallest proportion at 2%.
By 2008, Masters of Science retained its proportion at 29%, falling to the second position after PhD Science with 30%. The share of Master Arts witnessed a moderate rise by 1%, as well as the proportion of PhD Arts rose by 5%. In contrast, notable decreases were observed in First degree of Arts and Science, which dropped significantly, reaching 11% and 10%, respectively.
