In general, further study was the dominant category in both UK graduates and postgraduates, while the reverse was true for voluntary work. Notably, they showed a similar patterns with the exception of part-time work, which was significantly higher in post-graduates.
To be begin with, the number of graduates who chose further study stood at 29,665, whereas the figure in postgraduates was remarkably higher at 2,725. Voluntary work, on the other hand, recorded the lowest figures in both categories. It was higher in graduates at 350 compared to that of postgraduates, which stood at 345.
Regarding remaining categories, past-time work recorded considerably lower figure in graduates at 17,735 compared to that of post-graduates, which accounted for 2,535. both the number of graduates and post-graduates showed similar patterns in unemployment as it represented 1,635 and 1,625 respectively.
