Band 4+: Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future, such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Many people believe that all university students could choose their studies independently; On the

contrary, some people argue that the students should study the courses related to science and

technology for their better future. Although, the pupils can shine in the future by selecting science

and technology during their education, I recommend the students to choose their educations

according to their wishes since they could explore many new things in various aspects. Add on, they

would give complete dedications to their professions, if they choose their subjects as per their

desires. Additionally, there will be great opportunities of employment in the future.

First of all, a group of people expect the pupils to adapt only science and technology as there are a

few advantages in that: Admittedly, the students who choose the courses can acquire higher probabilities of decent salaries; Therefore, it is a safer path to obtain a fine settlement in the future.

To illustrate, many European countries look forward for employees in the area of science and

technology. Thus, they can get opportunities in the other nations as well. So that, they can easily

implement drastic changes in their lifestyles.

On the other hand, some people have the opinion that the students could pick their courses

according to their wishes. As, they would get opportunities to blend with new zones; In addition,

they would experiment and acquire knowledge in various aspects. For instance, the students would

obtain possibilities for field work and acquaint with many people, if the students choose master of

social studies. Moreover, the pupils could offer their complete dedications to their jobs since, they

select their career as per their wishes.

Furthermore, there would be a large amount of recruitment in the future and different people get equal opportunities; On the contrary, if all students pursue similar subjects, there would be heavy

competitions for employees which will lead many people jobless in the future. For reference, if

thousand students study the same course, there might be a probability of enlist around half of the

amount.

To recapitulate, while considering the advantages such as expanding knowledge, full dedications

towards the work and latitude in finding jobs in going for the desires of the students, I support the

people who believe that the pupils have the liberty to choose their courses
