Some individuals argue that human requires agricultural land, housing, and industry rather than preserving land for endangered animals. I wholeheartedly disagree with this viewpoint. Although humans need all these three essentials because of increasing population, protecting adequate land is also important for threatened species of animals. This essay will explain the viewpoint in the below paragraph with a reasoned conclusion.
On the one hand, some proponents contend that in today’s world of globalization, the population is increasing day by day that have a severe impact on human lifestyles. The rationale behind this argument is that now people are facing many difficulties to lead their daily lives. For that reason, many influential people are destroying forest to make a substantial area for their living place. Furthermore, they are also destroying forest to enrich their industrialization and cultivated more crops because they think that since the population is increasing day by day, converting the forest area into a human living place is an alternative option for human good lifestyle. For instance, in 2012, one of the eminent industrialists in India converted a forest area to barren land in order to establish his industrial network despite restrictions from the government. Hence, people are running towards removing trees and plants in order to expand their habitation and lead a good lifestyle.
Conversely, it is our responsibility to protect the biodiversity of the forest. But in our society, some influential people are destroying forest for their own profit. Consequently, it disrupts the biodiversity system and environment balance. Moreover, the removal of trees and plants is causing the extinction of different types of species like Sumatran tigers, Monarch butterflies, Asian elephants, Tree frogs, and so on. Thus, it is very indispensable to conserve land for endangered animals to secure fauna and habitat.
To conclude, whole both perspectives hold validity, I subscribe to the idea of preserving substantial land for threatened species as it can from the extinction of rare species and balance biodiversity and environmental systems, which can also contribute to control the ecological processes
