Some individuals assume that newspapers are the most effective way to approach news while others feel that online media is the better resource. This essay will explain why I partly agree with the both statements
On the one hand, although newspapers still can provide a wide range of benefits, it still contains some inclement effects. Initially, newspapers will take a large amount of money if anyone reads it everyday. For instance, a large number of elderly people have to read newspapers everyday due to the fact that their vision is not good enough to approach online news. Hence, they will have to buy newspapers everyday and spend a significant amount of money. But as a result, it will also promote the consumerism and economy of countries. However, the news and knowledge from newspapers are extremely reliable and realistic because the local authorities have comprehensive filtering. And when the newspapers meet the demand, they will be provided permission to publish. Therefore, the general citizenry will not have to worry about being deceived because newspapers only contain precise information.
On the other hand, just like newspapers, online media also contains both benefits and detrimental impacts on human life. The benefits it brings to humans are by far significant compared to the drawbacks. First of all, online media can allow a comfortable lifestyle for people because it is obvious that people can receive the oldest or latest news just by any technological devices such as radio, computer or smartphone. But in this day and age, technology has become more and more friendly with all people in the world. Therefore, cyber crimes are a part that can not be lacking and they will create a variety of news that are not only non-sense but also quite sensitive to attract online’s searchers and readers for making money. Hence, people’s awareness may be deflected, have some misunderstandings or they can even spread their fake news to other people, especially students.
In conclusion, although online media news are extremely convenient to human life, newspapers are still more reliable and assured for the general public to read.
