People have different ideas about how many public holidays a country should have. Some want more of them, while others worry that too many holidays will make people less productive. This essay will talk about both sides and give my own thought.
On one hand,having more public holidays is good for people. First it helps people have more relax time. Many people work hard every day, and they feel tired. More holidays let them rest at home or travel to other places. This makes them feel happy and less stressed. Second, family time becomes more. Parents are busy with work, and children have to go to school. Holidays give them a chance to stay together, like having a big meal or playing games. This can make family relationships better.
On the other hand, too many public holidays may bring problems for productivity. For companies, if workers have too many days off, the work will slow down. For example, a factory needs to make products every day. If there are many holidays, the factory cannot produce enough goods. This may make the company earn less money. Also, for some jobs like doctors or teachers, too many holidays can affect their work. Doctors need to take care of patients, and long holidays may make it hard for patients to get help quickly.
In my opinion, a country should not have too many or too few public holidays. It needs to find a balance. More holidays are good for people’s life, but they should not stop work from going well. For example, having 10 to 15 public holidays a year is enough. This way, people can relax and companies can still keep good productivity.
In conclusion, both views have their own reasons. We need to think about both people’s needs and work efficiency. A balanced number of public holidays is the best choice.
