On the other hand, between 2000 and 2002 there was a period of stability in Australia. After that, until 2008 water utilisation by Australian farmers improved considerably from 500 m3 to about 1700 m3. Therefore, this number rose steadily to 2000 m3 in 2010. The farming and cultivation in Australia used more water every year.
