According to some people, being well-paid plays a more vital role than feeling satisfied with the job. Personally, I am totally not in favor of this idea and this essay will show the reasons to support my idea.
First and foremost, job satisfaction positively contributes to our both mental and physical well-being. A relaxed mind could energize us which improves our concentration on work and leads to better decision-making. Working in a comfortable and appropriate environment is necessary for minimizing stress and job-related anxiety. Besides, the level of our satisfaction about work also has an influence on our quality of life. For instance, a family with parents working in no pressure condition has stronger family bonds than that with stressed parents.
Furthermore, good job pleasure is an essential factor for career growth. We will be easily motivated to work productively and more creatively if we do not face any pressure that affects our brain. As a consequence, that we perform better could lead to decent results. Gradually, we can gain more experience and become well-known for our skills, which gives us opportunities to develop our career. Moreover, our happiness does not depend on how much money we have. Too much concentration on making money may result in us forgetting about people around and self-care, thus we must spend more money on fixing the problems that money causes.
In conclusion, money could not bring full happiness to us so the importance of high wages does not outweigh that of job contentment.
