The map below depicts different territories of Garlsdon with their own purposes. Moreover, the illustration shows the nearest towns, distance to them in km, and population: Hindon (12km, 10,000), Bransdon (16km, 15,000), and Cransdon (25km, 29,000). A railway crosses the town dividing it into the south and north parts. The task is to provide the citizens with a new supermarket
There are two possible places for the supermarket location: S1 a countryside and S2 a town center. It has to be considered that there is no traffic in the town center. Placing the mall in the countryside would allow residents from other towns to shop three. The best decision to make is to establish the market near to the railway, so it would be convenient for people from Hindon and Cranston to purchase there. Moving the shop to the west-south part would make it easier for Bransdon people to visit it.
Conversely, the S2 location would be available solely to the citizens of Garlsdon, Cransdon, and Hindon as there is no traffic in the center except from the railway. The Bransdon people would look for other variants for purchasing.
