Band 6+: nimals are in danger of extinction. People say that we should protect only those animals, which are useful to humans. Do you agree or disagree.

Although, humans have initiated using animals for their benefits, they tend to forget that their action is causing an extensive damage to the natural environment. They are not only causing harm to the mother nature, but their actions will ultimately deprive us from natural resources like the food we eat. For instance, there has been decline in pollinators like bees, butterflies which are required by many plants to grow. Subsequently, if they decline the volume of plants that depend on them for growth will eventually decline as well. Moreover, solely protecting the animals which are useful for us will not work naturally, until they adopt unhealthy or artificial ways to keep them healthy. Since, there is natural food chain process that the nature goes through to provide for every part of the food chain. Any slight change or damage to the food chain can alter the entire food chain. For example, if people start fishing more frequently, fishes will go extinct, and the predators which ate them will have to move or adapt to a new place, which will ultimately cause them to die as they were not able to adapt to a new place. In conclusion, I support my statement of not only protecting animals that are beneficial to the humans, but every animal that exist in the wildlife. Since, animals are part of the ecosystem, and extinction of animals can affect the biodiversity of the ecosystem.
