To begin with, in Uruguay, in 2005 less than 50 percent of the population had a mobile phone subscriptions, and more than 30 percent of the inhabitants paid for a fixed line subscription. However, in 2013 the number of mobile phone subscriptions rose significantly to 160 percent while the number of fixed line subscriptions fluctuated remaining stable. Nevertheless, in 2015, fixed subscriptions number climbed slowly to 35 percent whereas mobile phone subscriptions dropped slightly to 150 percent in 2015. In India this evolution between the subscriptions is approximately the same. Mobile subscriptions surged steeply in 2005 from 10 percent to 80 in ten years while fixed line subscriptions fell moderately from 5 percent in 2005 to less than 3 percent in 2015.

Futhermore, the case of United kingdom and Eritrea are particulars. The mobile subscriptions fluctuated but maintain constant in the United kingdom being at least superior than 100 percent. And this similar for the fixed telephone subscriptions which stayed steady at over 55 percent. On the other hand, Eritrea mobile subscriptions remained constant for 8 years and then went up slightly in 2 years. However in this country the fixed line subscriptions increased even thought it is a small growth from 2 percent in 2009 to 3 or 4 percent in 2015.
