People study in university to improve their skills, both soft skills and hard skills. Some people persuade to take practice training, due to the lack of qualified workers such as electricians and plumbers. In fact, I agree with those who feel that going to university for academic study for two main reasons.
First of all, learning in university supports them to be an expert in their field depending on their major choosen by them, based on their passion. For instance, the students are taking Education Department as their major which concerns with education and in-depth about develompent of children, curriculum, school, etc. Thus, they will focus on their major and try to make improvement to education in their village and country.
The next point, students are not only focus on academic, but they also do networking to collaborate. This skill is quite essential in this era, due to the rapid advancement of techology that use AI lately, collaborating needed to increase their interpersonal skills and critical thinking. For instance, the do collaboration to teach people in need, or the cooperate to arrange society events that brings a great benefit surround them rather than repairing electic or plum that we can ask expert people in their field.
In conclusion, students has their right to be an expert in their field rather than as replacement to be electrician or plumber if something bad happens. I, therefore, remained firmly convince that while they focus on their study, they can improve their interpersonal skills
